Amazonite is a lovely stone, and one of my favorites. Its color, brightness and opacity varies by region of origin, but its general color is light green to blue-green and mottled, with light striations. Amazonite, the “stone of courage”, was used extensively by the Egyptians, and is named after the Amazon women warriors.
