The best word to describe this substantial pendant is WOW! Reticulated sterling silver is created using intense heat to bring the metal to the melting point and torch-texture the surface to create hills, valleys, and unique patterns. No piece is like any other. The circular opening of this piece was “melted away” with heat, and a beautiful Larimar cabochon was prong set onto a back plate that was soldered into the opening, leaving a slice of daylight between the two. The result was very dimensional, very striking. The pendant is approximately 2” x 1.5” in size and is on a sterling silver rolo style chain that includes a handmade front hook & ring clasp that is part of the design. Total length: 18”
